The Bugatti Luggage Ultimate Guide
Share
Stiles Supply and Bugatti have you covered for all your luggage needs. Whether it’s a weekend road trip to the beach, a weeklong cruise to the Bahamas, or two weeks on a flight to Europe, we have a bag and suitcase that will make your trip easier. This is our ultimate guide to the Bugatti collection, and we’ll break down the pros and cons for all your options. We will highlight materials, size, durability, and a whole slew of other features. Luggage shouldn’t be a burden, but it may not always be as straightforward as you think. Let’s get into it and help you find the right luggage for your budget, needs and style so you’re ready for any journey for years to come.
How do you decide where to even begin? Here is a high-level overview of Bugatti luggage and travel bags with some quick facts to use as a starting point.
Let me start by saying that Bugatti is a legacy brand that has been in the travel industry since 1940. Since its inception Bugatti has been a brand that focuses on quality and durability. Positioned as an affordable luxury brand you can find mid-range price with a product that will match luggage costing you twice the price, or more. An expansion into using recycled materials and vegan leather also makes them a forward-thinking brand that knows without responsibility we will lose all these beautiful places we travel to.
Carry-on luggage is having a moment. People don’t trust airline baggage handlers and trust me, I get it. A carry-on is a small suitcase that is generally in the 18 to 22” range. This size generally includes any fixed wheels or handles. For Bugatti’s sake, all of that is included in that bag height measurement. Most airlines allow for a carry-on suitcase at no additional cost to you. These will fit inside the overhead bins and allow you to easily grab your bag and get to your destination sooner. Couple that with a personal item and you’re set for at least a few days without having to worry about checked bags, baggage carousels, and lost or damaged luggage.
Your checked luggage is going to come in two sizes. The medium size will be in the 24-26” range. An airline isn’t going to let you carry this one on, but it will cost a bit less to check than the largest size. With a suitcase of this dimension, you’re probably safe with 4-7 days’ worth of clothing and accessories along with a little room for those spontaneous vacation souvenirs. Large, checked luggage hits the 28-30” mark and give you the most space possible. You could fit up to around 2 weeks’ worth of clothes and accessories and leave yourself even more room to pick up some gifts to go home with.
Luggage Type | Size (inches) | Best For |
Carry-On | 18-22" | Short trip (3-5 days) |
Medium Checked | 24-26" | Weeklong trips (4-7 days) |
Large Checked | 28-30" | Long trips (10-14 days) |
Personal Items
I mentioned personal items earlier, but didn’t get to what those entail. A personal item is a small bag that should fit under the seat in front of you that you’re able to bring onto your plane in addition to your carry-on. Industry standard measurements are roughly 18x14x8 inches, but some airlines will only say it must fit under the seat in front of you. One question we run across is, does a purse count as a personal item. The answer is yes, if you’re carrying it on with you that is your personal item regardless of its size. My suggestion would be to pack any purse inside another piece of luggage so you can maximize your space with something like a backpack or a duffle bag as your personal item. That will make carrying necessities, accessories, snacks, or even some souvenirs much easier than a small purse or crossbody.
Now let's get into some of the features you’ll encounter when shopping for luggage along with what you can expect from your Bugatti luggage.
Hardcase vs. Soft Case Luggage: Which One is Best?
Well, luggage can be hard. Or it could be soft. Let us get into the age-old question of hardcase or soft case luggage, which one is right for me? We’ve covered this before, but it never hurts to answer it again. The answer is simple: it depends. Before you tell me that’s the easy way out, let’s continue. What it depends on is a range of factors from individual preference, packing habits, travel style and even storage when not traveling. Hardcase luggage is going to be durable and lightweight. It has become a favorite of modern travelers because of exactly these factors. They will hold up to abuse because of that hard outer shell. Modern plastics like ABS, polycarbonate and others are strong but forgiving and will take a beating. Soft case luggage is typically a bit heavier, which will make a difference for your checked bags. Heavier bags will cost you more to check on some airlines. Where they are a bit heavier and maybe less durable over time, they do allow you to get away with a little more packing. The soft materials will stretch and be more forgiving, which is also something to remember for storage. The give and flexibility in these suitcases mean you can pack them tight and still zip them up, then squeeze them into a tight space to store them. Now, having said that, Bugatti offers zipper expanded storage on most of their luggage. This is another zipper on the exterior of your luggage that unzips and releases an extra 2 inches of storage space. What does that mean? It means you get 20% more space to pack! What I like to do is pack with the zipper open and then zip it back up and compress everything securely inside, but that’s just me. The last part of this is just going to be personal style. Hardcase luggage now can be extremely detailed and decorated, maybe even personalized. This makes it easier to pick your luggage out at the carousel or just stand out as you glide through the airport. Not that soft case luggage is boring, but most companies will give you a few plain colors and that’s it.
Bugatti Luggage Features: What Makes It Stand Out?
Bugatti packs their luggage with features that enhance your experience, and you likely won’t find in those budget luggage sets you’ll see on those big marketplaces. Now that you’ve decided between a hard or soft case suitcase lets break down the features Bugatti offers. I made note of the zipper expanded storage earlier which is a huge benefit. Another one that I am a fan of is a TSA lock. This may be less important on a carry-on as they typically don’t leave your sight outside of being in the overhead bins, but if it is available on a collection’s larger bags, you’ll get it on the carry-on as well. It isn’t fool proof, but it is a deterrent for theft and adds a layer of security. Bugatti uses a TSA007 lock which is a standard lock and any TSA agent that needs to get into your bag for any reason can with a master key. This will save you the headache of damaged or broken locks that they can’t get into. (Find out how to set and use your TSA lock)
Bugatti offers telescopic carry handles on all their luggage. This is a handle that expands and contracts with the push of a button. Their handles are sturdy, metal handles that take a lot to bend or break. They also lock into two convenient heights whether you’re 5 foot or 6’5” you can be comfortable with your luggage.
There are only a few Bugatti luggage sets that don’t come with 360-degree spinner style wheels, and they have their reasons for not having them. However, I am a huge fan of spinner wheels for ease and maneuverability. Bugatti uses super high-quality wheels that roll so smoothly and easily compared to other luggage I’ve used in my lifetime. A smooth and free rolling wheel comes in handy for those quick runs across the terminal on a short layover, trust me.
The interior of Bugatti luggage always has plenty of pockets, dividers, and straps to keep your belongings secure. Couple that with a set of packing cubes and you’ll be amazed just how much you can fit. A handful of their offerings now have built-in AirTag holders (AirTag not included) now for those of you paranoid about lost luggage. It's a rational fear and that is exactly why Bugatti has considered this and added this feature.
The last thing I want to make note of is just the quality of the zipper and zipper pull. It is something so small that it is always overlooked, but these are some robust zippers. If you’re an over-packer this is something you should really pay attention to. Don’t worry about a broken or stuck zipper, especially after a week of travel as you pack to finally head back home.
Recommendations Base on Travel Type and Length
If you’ve made it this far, I’d like to offer some suggestions and links to products that I would recommend for different types and lengths of travel. Everyone is different, every trip is unique, but this is a good baseline to start from
Travel For Business
For business travel you’re probably in need of something small and convenient, and something that will keep your tech and accessories safe. Thankfully, Bugatti knows how important laptop compartments and trolley pass-throughs are.
We would recommend a simple carry-on, something like the Wellington collection. Affordable, lightweight, durable, and comes will all the features we mentioned previously. Ours has lasted years for plenty of road trips and battles with luggage handlers. You can shop Wellington carry-ons below.

Next, is a personal choice between a briefcase or a backpack. This likely depends on the level of professionalism you would like to show. Bugatti backpacks are far from a middle schoolers Jansport, but nothing says “professional” like a good briefcase. If you want a stylish and practical backpack, I recommend the Bugatti Henry Backpack. Made entirely of vegan leather it is a very good-looking bag. External pockets on each side are good for a water bottle. The interior does have a padded laptop compartment, a zippered pocket and a large main compartment. A drawstring and magnetic flap make getting into it very easy, it makes a great personal item.

If you’re leaning toward a briefcase let me recommend the Bugatti Central collection. This case comes in a black or a dark brown vegan leather. This briefcase doesn’t come with a trolley-passthrough, but it does have carry handles and a detachable padded shoulder strap for easy carrying. A padded interior pocket keeps your laptop (up to 15.6”) safe. A second large compartment gives you file storage, and a small, zippered pocket is perfect for a phone or other accessories.

Weekend Getaway Travel
Let’s start with another carry-on luggage we like. The Bugatti Paros carry-on is a hardcase luggage with a soft front outer panel. This panel actually unzips to reveal additional storage which is perfect for tech or necessities you want close by. The zippers on this front panel actually lock into the TSA lock on the main compartment for added security. This carry-on is a best seller of ours and it’s easy to see why.
Next, we would recommend a duffle bag to expand your packing space and give you room to come back with more than you originally left with. A duffle bag is a great personal item, or a perfect partner for a road trip. I would look at something like the Outland Duffle Bag from Bugatti. This is durable polyester bag that comes with a padded shoulder strap and is water repellant. This will keep all your stuff safe. Interior pockets are great for small accessories and an exterior pocket is a great place for headphones or a charger.
Long Trips and Family Travel
For longer trips and family trips the first thing I would recommend is a matching luggage set. Bugatti offers plenty of 3 piece sets that will come with a carry-on, a medium-sized suitcase, and a large, checked suitcase. Most collections offer three pieces. A couple collection come in a two piece which will be a carry-on and a large suitcase.
Our luggage set collection can be found here
What we have also done is put together a few luggage bundles. Or bundles, for now, revolve around the Wellington collection as it is very popular and one that we have long term tested with our own family. These bundles are a $570 value for $500. With that you get a three-piece luggage set packed full of features, a Contrast collection vegan duffle bag, and a set of packing cubes. You can find the link to these bundles below.

The last thing I would like to cover is the warranty. This is a key part of your luggage purchasing journey and you should understand the value that comes with buying Bugatti and shopping with us, specifically. Bugatti covers all their luggage with a limited lifetime warranty that covers craftsmanship and workmanship. This does not cover damage caused by airlines and luggage handlers. All other bags come with a 2-year (24 month) warranty that again cover the craftsmanship of the bag. At Stiles Supply Co. we take things a step further. We know airlines can be rough and that sometimes things just happen. We work with Bugatti to ensure every purchase with us is covered by their warranty. If you have a claim submit it to use and we will get your item replaced. This is where we go the extra mile for you, if your Bugatti claim is denied we will offer you a one-time coupon for 50% off a replacement. Now, that replacement can be anything you’d like. You can get the same exact item, try something new, upgrade, downgrade, anything you want. This additional coverage costs you nothing extra and it covers airline damage, misuse, abuse, neglect, anything at all. Our extended coverage also keeps you covered outside of the manufacturer warranty. There is no timeline, the only thing that nullifies your extended coverage is if you have used it already. Shopping with us for Bugatti and Edition22 brand bags means you can travel stress free, because luggage woes shouldn’t be on your itinerary.
I hope this ultimate guide to Bugatti luggage helps you navigate the twists and turns of luggage and travel bags. Ready to find the perfect Bugatti luggage? Browse our collection now or contact us with any questions-we're here to help!
